In Pitztal you can easily combine your training routine with your holiday – the unique natural landscape in the valley offers superb terrain for ambitious runners, leisure runners and walkers. With the free introduction given to you by a Nordic walking trainer, you can set out by yourself to explore more than 140 km of marked trails.
The annual highlight that has now become an insider tip among runners is the "Glacier Marathon" – this starts at the end of the valley and leads through the impressive natural scenery of the valley through to Imst, the town of fountains. Another highlight and crowd-puller is the "Pitz Alpine Glacier Trail" – with over 900 participants in 2017, it is one of the top events of the trail scene.
Pitztal offers a wide range of options for bikers. In total there are 95 km of marked mountain bike trails in Pitztal.
The 42 km long "Pitztal Bike Route" meanders the entire length of the valley along the Pitze river from Imst to Mittelberg, from where all other trails branch off.
Discover the quaint huts and inns on the numerous mountain hut tours. The hiker’s bus conveniently takes you and your bike back to the hotel.
Area 47 is the ultimate discovery for anyone looking for a real adventure holiday. For water action you can choose from rafting, canyoning or kayaking, or you can test your skills in the air climbing in the high ropes park or at the boulder cave. If it’s action on land you are looking for, try motocrossing through the 66,000 m2 Adventure Park.
