Snowshoe hiking
Feel the magic as you hike through Pitztal’s snowy winter landscape.
Pitztal’s competent mountain guides who are familiar with the topography will guide you through the spectacular countryside of the nature park region of Kaunergrat – Pitztal.
There are suitable courses and hikes for those who are new to snowshoeing and for seasoned snowshoe hikers.
Tobogganing on the hotel’s doorstep
Whether you are young or old, on holiday with your partner, family or friends, or whether day or night – no winter holiday is complete without a sledge ride on one of the many toboggan runs in Pitztal.
The group toboggan evening followed by a mulled wine party with us on the hotel grounds should definitely be on your list of things to do on holiday.
However, the six kilometre toboggan run at Hochzeiger is also worth a visit. If you don’t fancy the walk up the mountain, the gondola will take you up to the start of the run. You might also be tempted to stop off at the “Tanzalm” on the way down for a drink.
Ice climbing
In winter, the Pitztal water worlds become ice worlds in the mountains. A large number of waterfalls then become a paradise for ice climbers.
Depending on the temperature and the weather, climbers are spoiled for choice. Up to 45 ice climbing routes (Fallebachfall, Stuibenfall, Taschachschlucht, to name but a few) are available for ice climbers to practise this fascinating sport.
